Nailsworth Farmers Market taking your orders!!
Missing your local farmers’ market? Desperate for a taste of your favourite Welsh cakes or home-made green tomato chutney?
Never fear! You can now order and collect farmers’ market groceries from outside Nailsworth Library each Saturday morning, thanks to a service set up and run by Nailsworth Chamber of Trade.
“We understand how important it is for people to enjoy as many comforts as possible during lockdown – we all need them!”
“We also know how vital it is for our wonderful local and unique businesses to keep on trading.
“So we’ve devised an order-and-collect service – all within government guidelines – with produce from the stallholders you’d normally be able to visit in Mortimer Gardens once a month.
There’s even a delivery service for the very vulnerable, delivered by police-checked volunteers.”
Goodies available include homemade pies, sticky toffee puddings, dry-cured bacon, sausages, jams and chutneys – and much more.
Proving particularly popular are grocery boxes with vegetables, bread, cakes and bacon.
Anyone ordering by noon on Tuesday – all payment by bank transfer – will be given a specific time to collect their orders the following Saturday morning betweem 8.15am – 10.00am.
Orders can be placed via nailsworthchamberoftrade@gmail.com; please use ‘Market Order’ in the subject-line.
Full details of the goods on offer – which change weekly – are available at the chamber’s website, nailsworthonline.co.uk
