Chamber Food Hub
Nailsworth Chamber of Trade, has set up a food hub to help front-line workers and people who are self-isolating.
Top local chefs – including Ben Sibbald from Ben’s Kitchen in Tetbury, and Richard Davies and team from Calcot Manor – are working for free, cooking up delicious meals, the Chamber will deliver to people in need, as well as to NHS and emergency workers.
This is all about helping people during this time of crisis.
Nailsworth Chamber of Trades Team racked there brains about what they could do, and the food hub is one of the measures they came up with.
“For those who can afford to buy but want to stay at home while isolating we offer 7 meals for £25.00, the Chamber members will, deliver, at no extra cost, to your home.
“For others, it’s a lifeline. We’ve had so many thank yous from people struggling because of not being able to leave home.
And also from emergency workers, who don’t always have time to cook meals from scratch.
We’ve been getting this fantastic food out to police and ambulance staff, among others, so they can eat well during long and difficult shifts.”
“We would also very much like to hear from care/emergency workers or anyone in need, who would benefit from our free meals.
The good news emerging from the crisis is that our community deeply cares about those in need, and warmly appreciates the work of those on the front line.”
