Ben and Sarah Ready Steady Cook IMG_2924

We are all going to face unprecedented challenges in the coming weeks and months, personally and professionally. But within our community we have many Doctor’s, Nurse’s, Midwives, Police, Paramedics that will be facing daily challenges that go above and beyond the norm.

As we venture into the unknown and towards a new normal, the Chamber has set up a food hub, to provide those who will be there to look after us in our hour of need, and we are also going to help the vulnerable and elderly within our community providing them with free ready meals, to make sure the right people benefit from this food hub we are being guided by our local hospital and GP’s.

One of our local Market traders, Mr Ben Sibbald from Ben’s Kitchen is helping us cook up a treat, cooking daily to provide mouth-watering wholesome meals for those that need our support during these difficult times.

Everything Ben makes is “Made with love, From Bens Kitchen”.

Ben runs a private catering business and is based just outside Tetbury, the Nailsworth Market were very lucky indeed when Ben joined our monthly market in 2019 people travel from all over to buy tasty meal’s.

Ben Sibbald is a Winner of the National Sandwich Designer of the year 2014 and Champion Pie maker at the National Pie awards 2017 & 2018. Ben has said “I love to make, serve and supply exceptional food, catering for 2 to 200 with an original rustic elegance that helps to make the occasion”.

Ben is cooking and supplying ingredients to help those that are helping us.

Other wonderfully generous community members who have supplied free of charge products and produce, and their time, Sarah Martin & John Pettitt from the Nailsworth Chamber of Trade have worked together to create the food hub.

We are also looking for more generous community members who can help with donations to provide cash to the Chamber of Trade to enable them to continue buying produce so all meals will remain free of charge, free food to the people who need the most help during the worst crisis (COVID-19) that the UK has ever known since WW2.

If you provide the cash, 100% will go towards the challenge of providing the community with the food hub over the coming months.

If anyone can help with donations or provide produce, please contact. Sarah Martin
