This is Sarah Martin.
Sarah set up a meals delivery service in Nailsworth, Amberley, Woodchester and Minchinhamptom. She recruited chefs and volunteers to make the meals, as well as people to deliver them.
Free meals were available to vulnerable people, NHS staff and other key workers, which was paid for by a paid-for takeaway service.
Not only that, Sarah was part of Nailsworth Scrubs for Heroes, which sources and supplies PPE equipment for local residential homes and other care settings.
This is a great honour to be nominated for this award but it really could not have happened without my dedicated team of volunteers including John Pettitt, who have worked tirelessly alongside me, throughout the pandemic, and together we have achieved such wonderful things. I am really proud to be working within the Nailsworth Chamber of Trade and Commerce and the wonderful public of Nailsworth who have come together to help one another throughout this difficult time.
