Blushes Nailsworth Launch Party

You’re invited:   Blushes Nailsworth Launch Party

Out with the old, in with the new.

With their core purpose in mind, the team felt it was time to give their Blushes Nailsworth salon a little TLC. Not only is the salon a place where clients visit for hair, it’s also a place where the team spend countless hours every week and it’s important to them that the environment they work in inspires them to flourish. So, after 5 weeks Blushes are finally revealing the results of their salon refit with a launch party!

The salon refit was headed up by their very own team, who better to leave in charge but the people who use the space every day? Stylist Paige and Salon Coordinator Kirsty took point on the project planning and coordinating the interior redesign, emphasising that this is a restoration project, not a refurbishment.

The building itself pre-Blushes had been a salon for around 35 years and the team wanted to pay homage to its roots, also taking inspiration from it’s previous business of being an antique store in order to reuse and up-cycle wherever possible.

The ultimate goal of the redesign was to improve the functionality of the space, opening up the downstairs space as a whole to improve the fluidity of the salon. We wanted to create a more open-plan, collaborative feel – in keeping with the core purpose of The Blushes Collective.

The new salon vibe incorporates a lot of natural wood, sourced locally to Nailsworth.  It was important to the team that in the current economic climate where possible they were sourcing local and using independent contractors.

Traditional meets modern contemporary was the theme, using reclaimed wood for the salon stations will give the salon a rustic, country-style feeling of warmth along with many other touches where the team have upcycled preloved furniture to create something new.

The redesign will also see another signature Blushes mural – as seen in their Cirencester & Oxford salons, with a Mediterranean twist.

Paige & Kirsty selected tones that embody the feeling they want to create, for relaxation a deep off-black features, along with uplifting tones of bronze and sunset-inspired colours.

The team have put so much thought in the small details to enhance the experience of the salon, down to small touches such as installing natural lighting bulbs to increase the flow of light through the salon – and to allow you to see your new hair in all of its glory.

Blushes core purpose is to create dynamic environments where people come to flourish  and with that in mind, the Nailsworth team have brought their salon vision to life – creating the most beautiful lifestyle space for all under the Collective to enjoy.
